Friends of the DC Public Library

Every Friends group is dedicated to supporting the DC Public Library and to improving their communities through supporting their library branches, departments, and functions.

You can explore all of the Friends groups below, including membership information, how to get involved, meetings dates, and contact information for your local group.

Representatives from Friends organizations across the District of Columbia gather on every other month to discuss issues and coordinate their activities as a Federation of Friends. Anyone who is interested in participating is invited to attend. Voting is limited to one representative per Friends organization and the organization must be a paid member of the Federation ($75/year).

The Federation of Friends of the D.C. Public Library is a 501(c) (3) non-profit organization.
